Troubleshoot common issues

Start with the checks below. Make a backup before repairing an existing site or replacing component files.

Verified with Inventory 1.0.0 · Setup 1.11.1

The inventory archive returns a 404

  1. Confirm LotPress Inventory is active.
  2. Open Settings → Permalinks.
  3. Select Save Changes without changing the structure.
  4. Reload /inventory/ in a private browser window.

A vehicle is missing from the storefront

  • Confirm the vehicle is published, not a draft.
  • Check that availability is Available or Pending. Normal storefront views exclude Sold vehicles.
  • Review shortcode options such as featured="yes" and the vehicle limit.
  • Clear any WordPress, hosting, or CDN page cache.

Vehicle photos do not appear correctly

  • Confirm the media item still exists and can load directly.
  • Choose a primary vehicle photo and save the vehicle.
  • Regenerate WordPress image sizes if a site migration omitted derivatives.
  • Check whether the active theme or optimization plugin is overriding image dimensions.

Elementor or starter content needs repair

Confirm Elementor is installed and active. Then open LotPress → Setup and choose Repair an existing setup. Review the selected actions carefully. Setup reuses existing pages and does not overwrite pages that already contain content or Elementor layouts.

Private updates do not appear

  • Open Settings → LotPress Updates and confirm the site is connected.
  • Confirm the license subscription is active.
  • Select Check for updates.
  • Verify that WordPress can make outbound HTTPS requests and that security software is not blocking GetLotPress.com.

Contact messages are not delivered

  • Confirm the sales email under LotPress → Website Settings.
  • Check the WordPress administration email fallback.
  • Ask the host whether WordPress mail is enabled.
  • Configure authenticated SMTP when the host requires it.
  • Send a test inquiry and check spam or quarantine folders.

If the problem continues, contact LotPress and include the site URL, WordPress version, PHP version, LotPress component versions, and the exact error message. Never send a license key in a public message.
