Troubleshoot inventory and vehicle displays

Start with publication status, availability, active filters, template ownership, and caches before replacing files or rebuilding content.

Verified with Inventory 1.6.9

Fix archive and filter problems

  • 404: confirm Inventory is active, then save Settings → Permalinks once.
  • Vehicle missing: confirm it is published, Available or Pending, and not excluded by featured, sold, limit, filter, or pagination settings.
  • Counts look stale: clear WordPress, object, hosting, CDN, and browser caches.
  • Filter behaves unexpectedly: reset filters, test the native archive without custom query modifications, and confirm taxonomy values exist on the vehicle.

Resolve layout changes that do not appear

  • Confirm the section is enabled and placed under Inventory → Vehicle Display.
  • Confirm any supplying add-on feature is enabled.
  • Check for a complete theme override at lotpress-inventory/single-vehicle.php.
  • Check whether Elementor Theme Builder owns the Single template.
  • Clear page-builder and page caches after changing layouts.

A complete custom template remains responsible for rendering its own structure.

Fix photos, videos, and social cards

  • Confirm attachments and originals exist and a primary photo is selected.
  • After migration, verify upload URLs and run wp lotpress images regenerate when derivatives are missing.
  • For video, use a supported YouTube URL and show the Video section.
  • Inspect ?lotpress_social_preview=1; then clear site/CDN caches and refresh the social platform crawler cache.
  • Check custom theme image markup and optimization plugins when dimensions or crops differ.
