1. Scope and who we are
LotPress provides WordPress vehicle-inventory software, dealership website components, product licensing, private updates, and related support. This policy applies to GetLotPress.com and the services LotPress operates to sell, license, deliver, update, and support those products.
A dealership using LotPress on its own WordPress website controls that website and its customer information. The dealership’s privacy notice—not this policy—governs information the dealership collects through its own site, forms, analytics, advertising, CRM, DMS, or other services.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact and support information, such as your name, email address, optional phone number, dealership name, and the message or support details you send.
- Purchase information collected through Stripe Checkout, including your name, business name, email, phone number, billing address, and payment information. Stripe collects and processes payment-card details on its hosted checkout; LotPress does not receive or store complete card numbers.
- Information you provide when asking us to create, update, transfer, disconnect, or support a product license.
Product, license, and technical information
- Customer name or label, email address, subscription status and expiration, and Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, order, or event references associated with a purchase.
- A cryptographic hash of each license key. LotPress uses the hash to validate a license without storing the original key in the license database.
- The licensed WordPress site URL, a randomly generated installation ID, activation status, and activation or update-check timestamps.
- WordPress, PHP, Elementor, and installed LotPress component versions sent when a licensed site checks for compatible private updates.
Website and security information
Our hosting and security systems may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested URL, timestamps, response status, and referring page. To limit contact-form abuse, GetLotPress.com temporarily stores a one-way value derived from the submitting IP address for approximately 15 minutes.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to inquiries and provide requested support;
- create and administer purchases, subscriptions, licenses, site activations, downloads, and private updates;
- send transactional messages such as receipts, license delivery, service notices, and direct replies;
- protect the website, customers, software, and release infrastructure from abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;
- diagnose failures, maintain compatibility, and improve the reliability of our products and services;
- comply with tax, accounting, legal, and contractual obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not use contact-form or license information to build advertising profiles.
6. Retention and security
We retain contact correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain the business relationship. Purchase, subscription, license, activation, and transaction records are retained while needed to provide products, verify entitlements, maintain security and release history, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Hosting logs and service-provider records follow the applicable operational or provider retention schedule.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service, including access controls, HTTPS, hashed license and activation secrets, signed Stripe webhook verification, and short-lived private download tickets. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to receive additional details about how it is used. You may also ask us to disconnect a licensed site. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required for security, transactions, legal compliance, or other permitted purposes.
LotPress does not currently send promotional marketing email through GetLotPress.com. Transactional and service messages may still be necessary to deliver purchases, licenses, updates, security notices, or requested support.
8. Children
LotPress products and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through an appropriate service notice.
